Katherine Fili



A recent graduate from The University of Maryland's Opera Studio, she studied with Delores Ziegler and Linda Mabbs while completing her graduate degree in Operatic Performance. She completed her undergraduate studies in 2012 at Carnegie Mellon University where she studied with Ms. Mildred Miller Posvar.

Having grown up belting show tunes, she began to train classically at the Manhattan School of Music with Maitland Peters during her junior year of high school.

As an accomplished young opera singer, she has performed many roles with the Maryland Opera Studio and Carnegie Mellon University. She has also performed with The Connecticut Grand Opera and The Microscopic Opera Company. In the summer of 2012, Katherine was a Young Artist with The Pittsburgh Opera Theater Summerfest Program. The 2015 - 2016 season marks her debut with The Florentine Opera Company.

She has worked with acclaimed directors, coaches, and conductors such as Justina Lee, Elizabeth Bachman, Dorothy Danner, Craig Kier, Nick Olcott, and Dr. Robert Page.
